1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Mic to Speaker: Live Mic (“Mic to Speaker,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) accesses, uses, processes, stores, and shares information when you use the App.

Mic to Speaker turns an Android phone or tablet into a live microphone and routes microphone audio to a selected speaker or audio output, including Bluetooth, AUX, USB, wired, and built-in audio devices.

By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Information Accessed and Processed

3.1 Microphone Audio

The App requires access to your device’s microphone to provide its main live microphone function.

When you tap Start Mic, the App captures microphone audio and processes it in real time for purposes such as:

• Routing your voice to the selected audio output
• Adjusting microphone gain
• Reducing background noise
• Reducing clipping and sudden volume peaks
• Supporting available echo-reduction features

Microphone audio is processed temporarily in device memory. The App does not intentionally record, permanently store, upload, sell, or share microphone audio.

Microphone access stops when you stop the live microphone session or when the Android operating system terminates the microphone service.

3.2 Connected Audio Device Information

The App may access limited information about available or connected audio devices to let you select an input or output route. This may include:

• Audio device name
• Device type
• Connection status
• Bluetooth audio availability
• USB or wired audio availability
• Selected input and output route

This information is used locally for audio routing and device selection. We do not upload this information to our servers. The App does not access your Bluetooth messages, contacts, files, or communication history.

3.3 Notification Access

On supported Android versions, the App may request permission to display notifications. Notifications are used to:

• Show that a live microphone session is active
• Keep the microphone session running as a foreground service
• Provide a visible control for returning to or stopping the session

This permission is not used to send promotional push notifications or marketing messages. You may deny or disable notification permission through Android settings. Some background or screen-off functionality may be limited if the required foreground-service notification cannot be displayed.

3.4 App Settings

The App may store preferences locally on your device, including:

• Selected language
• Light or dark theme
• Microphone gain
• Noise-reduction level
• Haptic feedback preference
• Permission explanation status
• Previously selected audio settings

These settings are stored in the App’s private storage and are not transmitted to us.

3.5 Local Crash Logs

If the App encounters an unexpected error, it may create a local technical crash log containing:

• Date and time of the crash
• Thread name
• Error type
• Technical stack trace

Local crash logs do not contain microphone audio and are not automatically uploaded to us or to a third-party crash-reporting service. These logs remain in the App’s private storage until you clear the App’s data, uninstall the App, or the operating system removes the data.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

Mic to Speaker may display advertisements using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob).

Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect or receive certain information, including:

• Internet Protocol address, which may be used to estimate general location
• Advertising identifiers, App Set ID, and other device or app identifiers
• App launches, advertisement views, taps, and other product interactions
• Device and operating-system information
• Diagnostic and performance information, such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage
• Information used for advertising, analytics, reporting, security, and fraud prevention

Information handled by Google Mobile Ads is transmitted using encrypted connections. Depending on your location, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, the App may show personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertisements.

We do not provide your microphone audio to Google AdMob. Advertising services do not receive the live audio processed by the App.

You can reset or delete your Android advertising identifier through your device’s privacy or advertising settings.

5. Android Permissions

Microphone

Used to capture your voice during a live microphone session. The App cannot provide its main function without this permission.

Nearby Devices or Bluetooth

Used to identify connected or available Bluetooth audio devices and manage audio routing. This permission is not used to determine your precise location.

Notifications

Used to display the required ongoing notification while the microphone is running in the background or while the screen is off.

Foreground Microphone Service

Used to keep an active microphone session visible and operating in accordance with Android background-execution requirements.

Modify Audio Settings

Used to select and manage input and output audio routes, volume behavior, and supported audio-processing features.

You can manage these permissions at any time through Android system settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

6. How Information Is Used

Information accessed by the App is used only as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide real-time microphone functionality
• Route audio to your selected speaker
• Apply local noise reduction and audio processing
• Display connected audio devices
• Maintain active microphone sessions
• Save your local preferences
• Diagnose local application crashes
• Display and measure advertisements
• Detect advertising fraud and protect service integrity
• Comply with legal and platform requirements

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade microphone audio or locally stored App settings.

Limited information may be processed or shared in the following circumstances:

• Advertising providers: Google Mobile Ads may collect and share limited device, interaction, diagnostic, identifier, and approximate-location information as described above.
• Legal requirements: Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
• Protection and security: Information may be used or disclosed when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security issues, abuse, or violations of applicable terms.

The App does not share microphone audio with advertising providers.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Microphone Audio

Live microphone audio is processed temporarily in memory and discarded as part of the real-time audio pipeline. It is not retained by the App after processing.

Local Settings and Crash Logs

Local preferences and crash logs are retained in the App’s private storage until:

• You clear the App’s storage or data through Android settings
• You uninstall the App
• The Android operating system removes the data

Advertising Data

Information processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google’s applicable policies and user controls. You may manage advertising personalization and reset or delete your advertising identifier through Android or Google settings.

9. Android Backup and Device Transfer

Depending on your Android settings, the operating system may back up or transfer limited locally stored App data, such as preferences or local diagnostic files, to a Google account or another device.

We do not operate, access, or control Android’s backup service. Microphone audio buffers are not saved by the App and therefore are not included in App backups. You can manage Android backup through your device or Google account settings.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures designed to protect information handled by the App, including:

• Processing microphone audio locally
• Keeping settings and crash logs in private application storage
• Limiting microphone access to active live microphone sessions
• Using Android’s foreground-service notification for ongoing microphone access
• Using encrypted network transport when supported by third-party services

However, no device, application, or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

• Deny or revoke microphone permission
• Deny or revoke Bluetooth or nearby-device permission
• Disable App notifications
• Stop an active microphone session at any time
• Clear locally stored App data
• Uninstall the App
• Reset or delete your Android advertising identifier
• Adjust advertising privacy or consent choices where available
• Contact us regarding privacy questions or applicable data-protection rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will review valid requests submitted to the contact address below.

12. Children’s Privacy

Mic to Speaker is a general-purpose audio utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age applicable in their country.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can review the matter.

13. International Processing

Third-party providers such as Google may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable legal safeguards.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change.

The updated policy will be published with a revised “Last Updated” date. If an update materially changes how personal or sensitive information is handled, we may provide additional notice within the App where appropriate.
